Last winter I have decided to redo my old driveway and the walkway in front of the house that leads to the front door and the backyard. In addition, I am replacing the front entrance step as well as adding a few steps of pavers from my patio to the garden in the backyard. The driveway and walkway were uneven and had a lot of pot holes. I was dead set to just get a concrete replacement but thought there was nothing to lose just to hear a sales pitch from a cement paver guy. Jon gave me a good impression when we met. I found him to be personable, knowledgeable, and honest. He took the time to explain to me the pros and cons between concrete versus pavers. Since my driveway slopes slightly towards the house instead of towards the street side, he told me I can take advantage of the pavers which are permeable, saving me from installing a French drain as well as the connections to the storm drain. During the project, the team took extra care on making sure it slopes gently towards the side which would further alleviate my concerns in case of heavy storms. Though the price came in a little higher than concrete replacement, but the final result is much better than our expectations, and we like the design which includes some curves on the walkway as well as having contrasting colored pavers as borders to make the finished product very appealing. It took about 6-7 working days for them to finish the things I mentioned above. Ismael and his crew worked tirelessly on the project. The workers have good manners and cleaned up the debris everyday so it would not be an eyesore to the neighbors while the project was going on. I have been getting a lot of compliments from the neighbors as well as strangers walking by our house!
